How to Get Assistance from KREM

Who is Eligible for Assistance from KREM

Residents of the following New Hampshire towns, who have an emergency need which cannot be met by other means, may be eligible for KREM assistance:

  • Andover

  • Bradford        

  • Danbury

  • New London/Elkins  

  • Newbury        

  • Salisbury        

  • Springfield  

  • Sunapee/Georges Mills      

  • Sutton            

  • Warner            

  • Wilmot

Before Requesting Assistance from KREM

You may first want to apply to your Town Welfare Office.​ In New Hampshire, persons with little or no income may be entitled to financial help from their town or city. New Hampshire law (RSA 165) requires each town and city to have a local welfare program to help people who are poor and in need of assistance.

Individuals and families with low incomes may also be eligible for state assistance programs. Contact your local Town Welfare Officer or visit NH EASY for assistance. 211 is another resource for connecting to confidential help.

How to Request Assistance from KREM

To reach a KREM Steward, contact one of the participating New London Area Churches listed below to leave a message. A KREM Steward will be notified and will contact you by phone. All of the information you provide will remain confidential.
